This card uses microSD card to store and run programs (games). Although the microSD card can save large amounts of data, but there are several points to be noted. When using these parts, please pay attention to following points.
* The microSD card space is usually under 1GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes calculated. The card, PC and software capacity is expressed as 1GB = 1,024 × 1,024 × 1,024 = 1,073,741,824 bytes. Therefore, the actual size will be less than the capacity value.
- Do not shake or cause impact to the microSD card.
Under certain circumstances and usage conditions, the microSD card may be damaged, or may not be able to read and record data. When it's in use avoid causing it to vibrate, and do not remove the card before shutting down the console.
- Backup data regularly.
microSD card is a temporary storage. To avoid static electricity, electromagnetic waves damages and failures due to data loss it is best to backup the data to your computer or other media such as CD/DVD.
- Irregular behavior from the microSD
microSD card failure may occur during game play or while data processing period. If you notice any error during this time it is best to immediately backup any data on the microSD to the PC, DVD discs, etc.
- Extreme environment may cause the operation to stop.
If the ambient temperature is too hot or too cold, the console may not function properly.. The mechanism used in the microSD card is may also be affected by temperature, for more details, please refer to the microSD card specification.
Store content on the limitation
For any type of problems as a result of storage or editorial content causing loss of direct or indirect damage, R4i SDHC RTS can not be held responsible. Similarly, the above statement also apply to any type and/or brand of microSD card service limited liability situation.

If the microSD is forced in from the wrong direction it may cause damage and possibly breakage of the microSD card. This will result in the data lost or failure to read and record. When it's in use avoid causing it to vibrate, and do not remove the card before shutting down the console.

*The SD Speed Class Rating is the speed standard for successive writes.
·This card does not support exFAT or NTFS formats.
·4GB without SDHC sign does not meet the SD memory card memory card specification; therefore the card can not be compatible.
·Keep the memory cards from the reach of children, and prevent them from swallowing.

If the microSD card has been previously used with other devices it is best to format the microSD first before using it again. Note by formatting all the data will be erased. It is advice that you backup your data first to your PC, DVD CD-ROM in.
Note :
If you remove the microSD memory card during operation the card or microSD card may malfunction, and it may cause data loss.
- • Remove the NDS SLOT-1 card slot out of the console.
* Confirm the NDS console is off.
- • Insert / Remove the microSD card.
* microSD card will be shown by the direction of the icon shown on the casing, lightly press the end of the microSD until you feel a click.

- Insert the cartridge into the NDS SLOT-1 card slot
* Lightly press the end of the cartridge in until you feel a click.

* Do not touch the card and the microSD card by its contact area. It may cause it to malfunction.
* Avoid strong impact, bend or drop the card and the microSD card;
* Electrical noise, static electricity, may cause the card or microSD card damage or delete stored data in the microSD card. It is advice that you backup your data first to your PC, DVD CD-ROM in. ; (see "Backup" in the description)
* While the memory card data is being accessd, do not do the following:
- Remove the microSD card or the card
- Shut down the NDS Power
- Cause of shock or other impact to the console
Interruption while the memory card data is being accessed may cause data lost to the microSD card.

All the files for R4i SDHC RTS are stored in the microSD card, therefore in order for the R4i SDHC RTS to function properly the system file must be installed onto the microSD beforehand. Regularly updating the firmware will also ensure the most up to date games compatibility.
- Standard installation (recommended):
Please download the R4i SDHC RTS software compression package which includes the following:
"_system_", "moonshl2" folder, "_DS_MENU.DAT", "_ds_menu.sys", "moonshl2.nds" copy these files to the root of the microSD card to complete the system software installation.
* Standard installation will occupy around 100MB storage space. For best storage capacity 1GB or above is recommended.
* Update, skin theme files, wallpapers, and screen savers will alternate the storage space capacity.

- Minimal install (excluding the installation of multimedia components Moonshell2.x):
Please download the R4i SDHC RTS software compression package which includes the following:
"_system_"folder, "_DS_MENU.DAT", "_ds_menu.sys" copy these files to the root of the microSD card to complete the system software installation.
* Minimal installation will occupy around 30MB storage space.For best storage capacity 1GB or above is recommended.
* Update, skin theme files, wallpapers, and screen savers will alternate the storage space capacity.

R4i SDHC RTS System Folder: special purpose instructions
- Users can download or create theme files then stored them onto the microSD cards. In the OPTION menu select "interface theme" Setting which will allow you do select and switch interface style or theme. Select the file through the browser interface, and you can open the skin file to switch the theme.
Folder path: \ _system_ \ Fla \ skins or any other directory
File attributes: *. skn (R4i SDHC RTS system-specific skin file)
* Stored in a special path of the *. skn file can browsed through OPTION "interface theme" Setting. In the Quick Preview feature select Settings, then under the directory of the skin press A to set it active;
* When new interface is choose it will automatically boot back to the main menu for the theme to be active.
* To customize the wallpapers select OPTION then "wallpaper" to set default wallpaper.
* The use of non-R4i SDHC RTS *. skn file will cause the interface elements to malfunction.
* R4i SDHC RTS system provides two sets of interface themes by default.
* It is advice that you keep at least 1 of the default theme in case of failure in the custom theme files.
* For more information regarding the creation of the R4i SDHC RTS theme set please refer to "Skinning Section," for more infromation.
- Desktop Wallpaper folder:
Users can set their favorite picture as desktop wallpaper, through OPTION's "wallpaper" setting which can be switched at any time.

Wallpapers specifications: *. bmp (16-color, 256 color, true color bitmap file, any image size, recommended 256 × 384)
* Wallpaper will only act as a display of the active screen.
* Images smaller than 256 × 384px will be tiled. Images greater than 256 × 384 px will extend/stretch to the top left corner.
* 256 × 384 px are the recommended size for the best image results.
- Screen saver folder:
Users can set their favorite picture as a screensaver, when the interface is inactive more than 10 seconds it will enter the screen saver mode. Which will randomly display stored user's images as screen saver.
Folder Path: \ _system_ \ Fla \ ScreenSaver
Picture Size: *. bmp (16-color, 256 color, true color bitmap file, image size 256 × 384)
* The largest number of screensavers images which can be stored is 999.
* To cancel the screen saver function, simply remove the screen saver images in the folder.
* Incorrect image size will not display properly during screen saver mode.

R4i SDHC RTS game shortcut can be used through the Touch feature. All other options are supported by both the touch screen and button control.

Menu screen (GUI) operation:
- Arrows:
Press the arrow keys [←] [→] and the marquee will highlight you selection. You can select the "GAME", "MEDIA", "OPTION" icons and by pressing [A] key to enter. If the screen is inactive for more than 2 seconds the marquee will automatically hide. During inactive periods pressing [A] button will not perform any selected action. You will need to press the arrow keys for the marquee to appear again.

- Touch screen:
On the touch screen you can directly select "GAME", "MEDIA", "OPTION" one of the three icons, or select the shortcuts below If you choose a empty shortcut slot it will display the "GAME" list. Move the touch point outside of the selected icon to cancel the current selection operation.
Hold and sliding the stylus on the side of the Touch screen will display shortcuts icon 9 ~ 12.

- In any shortcut icon hold for 3 seconds, you can then activate the deletion mode. On the lower right hand corner a red icon will appear tap on it to complete the deletion then press [B] to exit deletion mode.

- Press and hold the shoulder button [L] or [R] will allow you to adjust the game settings for the the selected game from the shortcut menu.

* The game option interface can support 12 different languages for users to choose from.
* R4i SDHC Platinum does not support Real time saving feature, therefore the option will not be available.

In the main interface a total file display is up to 10. Slide the screen up and down to navigation through the list. The list is sorted by folder / file name, or file name in order of folders / files. List of files to support display on the file list: directory (folder), parent directory, *. nds files, *. bmp files, and *. skn file. Other file type may not be supported and will not display.
Key actions:
Press [↑] [↓] key to move the cursor,. If you hold the up or down button it will fast scroll the file list. Using [←] [→] will allow you the scroll through the file list slowly. This will also allow the NDS games icon to load.
[A] start the current game or open selected directory
[B] Back to the main interface
[X] Create shortcut to the to enter the shortcut interface (selected home-made software and directory is not supported)
[R] Global Soft reset switch
[SELECT] to enter the game advanced settings menu (self-made software and the directory is not supported)
Touch Operation:
Tap to open the appropriate directory or program.
Hold down the drag could be fast scrolling, similar function to using the arrow keys.

On the top screen of the R4i SDHC RTS system, user can display time, date, month and a day of the week according to the console information. This display can also supported in 12 different languages switching, To switch language enter the "OPTION" → "Language" to set.
* To change the date and time please refer to the Console's manual.
* Month and week can be set accordingly to different the local language display;
* Other themes may not display in other languages;
* R4i SDHC RTS system default theme provide two interfaces both supporting 12 languages.
* After changing the theme from "OPTION" "language", user will need to go back and open the game list then return to the main screen to see the changes. Or simply shut down and restart the console for the change to take effect.

R4i SDHC RTS system supports 12 languages. Corresponding to the menu and the local area code. To change it enter "OPTION" → "Language" selection then set. 12 languages including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese. The corresponding character encoding table: ENU 1252, FRA 1252, DEU 1252, ITA 1252 , ESN 1252, PTB 1252, NLD 1252, RUS 1251, JPN 932, KOR 949, CHS 936, CHT 950.
* For more information on corresponding character type code table please refer to Windows character encoding standards;
* R4i SDHC RTS default system themes provide are supported by 12 countries language menu;
* Inconsistency of the language coding following the Windows characters encodes may generate invalid characters;
* To prevent errors caused by the language settings in the "OPTION" "Language" settings the effect will be immediately in affect. Once the user closes the Settings menu interface and then open the other menu the text will change. If user discover that the wrong language was chosen, they can immediately re-set back to other language options.

"Skin" menu will allow users to change the skin style. "Wallpaper" menu is for changing of the desktop wallpaper. "Sounds" menu allow user to mute the sound feature. In the main interface, select "OPTION" icon to enter these settings.

In the System Settings button on the main interface to support drag and drop all cancel, but after selecting the appropriate sub-entry window does not support.
